Solid Blue light on doorbell

troubleshooting

My door bell has a solid blue light (not blinking or doing anything else) when charging. it has been on the charger for greater than 24 hours. I tried pressing the doorbell button, nothing happned. I tried pressing the orange button, nothing happned. I took it off the charger, nothing. The app says it is at 4% battery and has not changed in the 24 hours of charging. The app also says that it is not connected to the WiFi. Can someone shed some light and give me a hand?

Hi @Kastens! The blue light on your Video Doorbell should only show when answering an event, or engaging in a live event, in the Ring app. Another reason a blue light might be noticed is when you are reconnecting to the network, or during connection step when setting up your Doorbell. Check out this Help Center article about internet connection to see if the signal might have led to the Doorbell falling offline.Good call on charging the battery fully. Try also resetting the Ring device by holding the setup button for 20 seconds. Once completed, attempt a new setup in the Ring app. Feel free to let us know how this goes! If you have persistent concerns with your Ring Doorbell, please follow up with our support team via phone, or on Facebook @Ring by sending a private message.

Any resolution? Mine is doing the same thing! Solid blue light when charging. It appears to pick up motion, but will not connect to wi-fi. If I unplug, solid blue light remains. Orange button does nothing. If I press and hold orange button for 20 seconds blue light goes off after about 10 seconds and comes on when I release the orange button. Same thing when pressing/press and hold the doorbell button. Mine is also about 1.5-2 years old.

I’ve tried resetting and disconnecting from the power supply then reconnecting but no joy. Any other suggestions?

Hi @user_934887. This is an older thread, with some troubleshooting steps shared in previous moderator replies. I'd recommend creating your own post in the appropriate category with a few details about what your concern is. Make sure to include which Ring device you have.
