I’m having issues with a new wired indoor camera disconnecting or showing offline. I power cycled the device and it starts up like a new device. A few hours after setting up the wifi connection it shows offline again. So I power cycle the device again and starts up again like a new device. All of my other devices are connected and working still. The rssi on that device was 42 when it was last connected and the firmware is up to date. I did check my router and the device is showing it is disconnected from the wifi. Any ideas what my issue might be?
I am having similar issues. My indoor cam was fine for a while and now it just disconnects shortly after rebooting and reconfiguring/reregistering it. It seems to factory reset and finish the connection process, even show live video – for several minutes, then it just shows as disconnected, blue light always on.
It is within line of sight of the access point, and used to work fine. I have half a dozen other ring cams which are fine.
Am thinking its a hardware issue, but wanted to check here before sending it back.
Hey neighbors! Since it seems you both have already reset the camera and/or tried setting it up again and to no avail, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. Contacted support and have a replacement shipping out soon. I purchased another indoor camera and it stayed connected for a little over a full day and now the blue light is solid and it shows it to be offline. Still my other indoor cameras are working corectly.
I have 14 Ring devices. 2 of them are the powered Indoor cameras and they are regularly offline. What I notice is that they are generally connected to an AP, albeit one that isn’t necessarily the closest. None of my other devices have dropped in a couple of months. These drop daily. They also do typically come back on my themselves. Sometimes I have to either reboot an AP or disconnect the device from an AP.
