Hi, I want to upgrade my Wired Video Doorbell to the Wired Doorbell Pro. I cannot access the mechanical chime wiring in order to install the Pro Power Kit. I don’t have an indoor chime, so I just need the Doorbell Pro to work. Will it still work without the Pro Power Kit?
Hi @user76828. If there is a chime kit as part of the doorbell circuit, you’ll need to access it to install the Pro Power Kit. The Pro Power Kit is required to ensure your Doorbell is receiving sufficient power. If there is no chime kit on the wiring, the Doorbell Pro can be wired directly to the transformer according to the diagram below.
