Will this Power Supply works with Doorbell Wired (24vdc)
hardwired-video-doorbell
installation
troubleshooting
Hi,
I know the Wired Doorbell required 10-24VAC but with Ring Official Din Rail Power Supply they sell on official web site is also 24VDC.
I have this very good power supply laying around which is also having 24VDC.
Will this works?
I search the old threads and it seem people still having doubt about this.

Hi neighbors!
On the [product page for the Doorbell Wired ](https://ring.com/products/video-doorbell-wired), in the Tech specs section, **only the official [Ring Plug-In Adapter 2nd Generation ](https://ring.com/products/video-doorbell-plugin-adapter-gen-2?_pos=25&_sid=ea9c4d408&_ss=r) should be used for DC power.** This refers to the power that would come out of a wall outlet. In the case of using a transformer, the following specs of 8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz should be met. You will not be able to use a DC transformer. If you wish to use a transformer, this Ring Transformer [here ](https://ring.com/products/hardwired-transformer) will meet the power requirements. I hope this clears up the confusion.
Hope this helps.
