With the kids at homeschool etc. I was wondering when home and my ring system is in “at home” mode and off does it still suck juice and slow down WiFi speed ?? Thanks much Brian
Glad you asked, @Gold3974! You’ll be happy to know that most of our Alarm devices communicate through zwave and with the Base Station, while the Base Station acts as a main hub to communicate with your home network. Whether you are connecting the Base Station via wifi or ethernet, the usage of your network is minimal and low impacting, especially compared to many other common in home devices. Check out our help center article about zwave for more information on how this connects in your home. I hope this helps!
