I installed my Ring Pro doorbell a few weeks ago but have noticed every evening at about 21.30 till about 00.00 my WiFi connection to the ring doorbell disconnects. My Internet connection is fine, my chime is connected and I cannot see any other WiFi related issue. Why does this happen, is it a setting issue or something else, please? Thank you
I wonder if a neighbour has an item which is switched on at a certain time. This could cause your WiFi to switch to a crap channel. Go into your WiFi settings on your router and check the channel is not on Auto, but either 1, 6 or 11. This may help. If you want to know the best channel, download a wifi scanner app that will show you all the wifi signals in the area, and then select either 1, 6 or 11 depending on which channel has the least WiFi signals from other routers. Don’t be fooled into picking a channel like 3 because it “appears” there are no users using channel 3, this is because some channels overlap with others, and 1, 6 or 11 don’t overlap.
Is this issue resolved completely? We are facing[the same problem.
