White lines across video image at night

troubleshooting
I have an issue with my ring doorbell, at night there are random white lines streaking across the video. It looks like electrical noise or some sort of electrical fault in the device and is definitely not lens flare. ![image|690x318](upload://mTGfiB6LVdkMCWSfDur3Pkh0HHD.jpeg)

Hi @Teri4. First, check the RSSI in your Device Health page to ensure that your Ring Doorbell has a stable connection to your wifi network. You can read more about RSSI in our Community Post [here](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229#M4). If the RSSI looks good, you can try a full reset of your Doorbell by holding down the setup button on it for at least 20 seconds. After the setup is complete, take your Doorbell through a new setup in the Ring App using the steps under Set Up a Device, then check the Live View at night. If the troubleshooting steps listed above don't resolve this, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) for further assistance. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.

Thank you for your reply, the RSSI of the doorbell is fine (-65) and resetting the device makes no difference. As I say, it looks more like some sort of electrical contact problem.

@Teri4 Since a full reset did not resolve this concern, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) so they can look into this further with you. They may need to check the Doorbell's [warranty](https://ring.com/warranty) and determine if anything needs to be replaced. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support. :)
