When alarm loses internet connection

The alarm lost Wi-Fi and reverted to 3G. The app showed we had limited security. What does this mean? Can you let me know what stops working?

Hi @RCGMK. If you subscribe to a Ring Protect plan, your Base Station will also have cellular backup to protect your home even if the internet goes down. You won’t have access to the full range of settings that you normally do when your Base Station is on cellular backup. For example you won’t be able to add new devices or change the names of your alarm components, but cellular backup serves the purpose of allowing you to still arm and disarm your system in this scenario. Once your Base Station reconnects to wifi after your wifi is back up, you’ll have the full range of features available again. I hope this explanation helps! :slight_smile:
