What is the point of Zones?
wireless-security-cameras
I have a Ring powered wifi camera, and I can make zones in the viewable field of vision, but can't do anything else with the Zones i.e. different sensitivity, different notifications settings, or schedule the individual zones to be enabled/disabled.Therefore Zones seem to be a bit of a pointless feature. Can someone explain otherwise, or when this feature would be updated.Regards

Hi @neil_no10. The [Motion Zones](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210243483-Utilizing-Motion-Zones-with-your-Ring-Devices) are designed to allow you to draw up to 3 individual zones in which you want to be notified about when motion is detected. For example, if part of your pathway gets a lot of traffic from neighbors or maybe a neighborhood cat, you can then draw your Motion Zones around that part of the pathway to avoid getting notifications of motion in that particular area. As we value our neighbors' feedback, we've created a [Feature Request](https://community.ring.com/c/products/24) board. Feel free to add these ideas about Motion Zones and any future feature requests there. This will help us to organize and share your requests with our teams here, as well as allow other neighbors to comment and add interest, all in one place. Feel free to link that post you make in the Feature Request board here so other neighbors that come to this thread can easily find your feature! :)
