My Flood and Freeze sensor has started to act up. It started to alert water detected then clears itself and repeats for about 5 minutes. Then it resets and begins again the next day for a few mintues. I checked and the floor has no signs of water. Is there an update that causes this malfunction?
Hi @gibz4. Have you tried taking a dry washcloth and wiping down the Flood and Freeze Sensor? I’d recommend trying this just to ensure it is fully dry and that there is no water on it. In addition, I’d suggest resetting the Sensor and setting it back up in the Ring App again. To reset the Sensor, press and hold the setup button (located on the side of the device) with the battery in, until the LED stops flashing (approximately 10 seconds). Once that’s done, you’ll just want to walk through a new setup in the Ring App by following the steps under Set Up a Device. Let me know if that does the trick for you!
I also periodically get a series of low battery detected…but the app shows full battery. Sometimes within 1 minute it goes from low to full, 20 minutes, 30 minutes…it varies. Sensor has been installed less than a year, near hvac system in attic. Before today last notification I got was a 1 minute window on 24 April.
we just set up our water sensor earlier this week and suddenly today we got an alarm and the spoken alarm that there was water, ran down there to check. It was dry but now the voice alert is going off every few minutes.
