My doorbell is not saving video and keep on saying my plan expired

Hey @Linda23! To save recordings your device must be subscribed to one of our Protect Plans or in a free trial period. It sounds like the trial may have expired and you’re needing to sign up. I’m thinking of giving my DB3 to my SIL who lives alone. If she doesn’t sign up for a plan, how long does a video alert stay viewable? Minutes, hours, or not at all. It seems like a question she is likly to ask. I’ve had a plan since day one so I don’t remember a time without access to recordings.

Hey @BarryG. Without an active Ring Protect Plan, neighbors will only be able to see the Live View. Although, when your friend goes to set up the Doorbell, they should get a free 30 day trial of the Plus Plan, so they can see from there if they like having video recordings stored, or are ok with Live View only viewing!
