  I’ve been having this issue for months. I’ve reset the doorbell (what a pain in the ass) WiFi signal is fine. Battery is charged up. It’s only late at night that it does it! Which is when I need it the most! 😬

  Here we are a year later and still spouting off useless ‘help’ about WiFi signal. Mine has gotten so bad it’s useless any time other than during mid day sun.

  Same problem here. Started a about two weeks ago with one or two, now image is unviewable. Only happens at night.

  Hi I’ve the same problem, spoke to tech support last night and they told me the night vision is faulty so would have to buy another one after going through all the usual troubleshooting in this chat. Not covered in warranty but would give me a 30% discount code which I still haven’t received. I had a funny feeling the battery might be causing the problem so tried charging my spare and installing. Fingers crossed it’s been fine tonight with no white horizontal lines. Will try the other battery again when this one needs changed and update this post to see if the lines come back. Maybe faulty battery causing interference somehow. Ok tried my other battery again and white lines have appeared again. Definitely therefore think there’s a problem with interference from a potential fault in the battery. If you have a spare try this and see if it works.

  Hi, I’m also having the same issue. Initially I thought it was interference, however this would also happen during the day. So I think this is a hardware issue which my other device doesn’t suffer from. Both were purchased a few weeks between each other so that would point to a device or firmware defect. I would expect to have at least a 10 year life from an optical circuit (if not longer). Please advise. Kind Regards, Graeme

  Hi All, If you have the same issue as me (horizontal lines at night). It looks like a dry joint is the cause. I’m giving you this advice without any warranties and if your device is within its warranty period I advise you to return it to Ring for replacement or repair. I left the ring doorbell on the wall and simply gave it two hard slaps with my hand (not fist) and I now have a crystal clear night view. I hope this helps you and Ring too. Cheers, Graeme

  I took your advice and rapped the upper left side of the doorbell a couple times and yup, it works again with no horizontal lines. Thanks for the suggestion!!
