Hello, Thanks. Alas, the device is a couple years old and is not under warranty. Im just curious what would cause the glass to crack by itself? It was not vandalized.

Hi @drapchun. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to tell why your glass is cracked. I can only speculate that it may have been environmental.

Hi, thanks.the doorbell does face the sun after 2pm. wonder if it was due to heat. I have two video doorbell pros. the one on my front door never cracked. it does not see direct sunlight. im just surprised as Ring products are usually very high quality.

Your selling a product that is not fit for service, a class action will address your failure to meet reasonable expectations. Your one year warranty provides Ring with no protection for selling unfit products.

Obviously this is an issue that ring knows about but chooses not to fix. There are no warnings anywhere about the glass failing because of environmental situation. Ring should replace the glass at no cost to the customer. Forcing customer to buy a new doorbell that has a design flaw is not good business. I will have to buy a different brand. So done with ring
