Updating internal software

I have just purchased a wired spotlight cam and it has been updating internal software for hours and won’t live connect

Hi @MistyGlen. How far is the Spotlight Cam from your internet router? If possible, try to bring it in the same room as your internet router, just for the setup. I would also make sure you have your ports and protocols configured properly to allow the Spotlight Cam to connect to your network. You may also need to make some adjustments to your firewall settings to allow the Spotlight Cam to connect. Sometimes, internet service providers has security measures that are in place and they conflict with Ring Devices until properly configured.
