I’m reaching out to hopefully get an update on when we can expect Ring to release a resolution to the charging issue present in Ring Video Doorbell 2s, which as far as I understand from my research, is due to a fault in new software. I’ve seen several posts on this board and others where users suddenly had issues with their hard-wired doorbells not charging properly, just like mine has, despite working fine for months or years and with no other changes to the device/hardware. I have tried resetting my product and using a different battery, the battery charges fine outside of the unit, and the unit is showing as hard wired and trying to charge the battery - it just doesn’t. Maybe I missed some official communication somewhere else, but I’ve been having to charge my Ring battery externally for over 2 months now and I’m about to throw in the towel.
