Using the Ring app on my phone I've been able to get the doorbell to start charging but when the "Join Ring" wifi dialog box comes up I get an "Unable to join" message after pressing the join button. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Check your Wi-Fi - BT Wholehone for example operates on 5gHz some cameras only operate on 2.4 gHz - you can adjust this on BT. The point I am making is check your Wi-Fi transmits in 2.4.

Make sure your device is spinning before next steps. Usually it comes with a voice. Otherwise you won’t connect with wifi. I thought my doorbell light was spinning and connected but it was actually not so make sure you hear the voice ( ring pro)

Ring Video doorbell Pro My doorbell pro suddenly stopped working. The device is little over an year and half old. The ring app showed that the device does not have wifi. There is no change in wifi or any of the setup or connections. I tried to connect, but it kept failing saying "unable to connect network Ring-xxxxxx" The wifi signal from the device is pretty good and I can see it in all devices. I kept trying to connect to the device wifi. Mine is iphone8. I tried with iphone12, same results. Tried with an Andriod phone, the wifi status read "denied access". All this time it was working with a 15V/10VA transformer.I switched to 18V/10VA, same results. Called up Ring, they went through same exercise and delcared either the wiring or device is bad. I connected with a brand new short length wire and tried again, same results. Now Ring claims that the device is bad and offered a 35% discount to buy a new device. I could not take the idea that the device is bad. The wifi sginal strength was very good. The power up sequence went through normally and it goes to set up mode. The "denied access" means that there is something went wrong with the wireless stack. This cannot be hardware issue, I suspect the periodic software update. Ring is not ready to buy this nor investigate any further. This could be a stray incident, but the point is many times software issues are overlooked/ignored and Ring does not seem to care to investigate/fix it.

I had this issue. my doorbell went offline and I hadn't noticed I tried setting up myself but would not connect to "ring wifi" .. called support for 1 hour we tried everything in the book. He said maybe it's my ring itself and they're sending me a new one

For those above who got a replacement, did this fix your issue? I got about 14 days out of my Wired Pro before it went offline (no change to wifi except an ASUS mesh node went offline) and the doorbell is still showing the spinning white light despite multiple resets/attempts to reconnect. Support was persistent but finally gave up and is sending a replacement. This shouldn't be so difficult.
