Hi there , got a ring video doorbell 2 and chime for christmas, all set up OK however the two communication via live view is really quite even with the volume turned to max, you have to put your ear/mouth right upto the doorbell to hear anything, I have noticed that the wifi strength on the bell is yellow and saying weak signal, does influence the audio level ???
Hi @Chrisv1. The Video Doorbell 2’s speaker volume can’t be manually adjusted, but it should be loud enough for a visitor at your door to hear what you’re saying through the Live View. I’d first recommend verifying the permissions for the Ring app on your phone to ensure it can utilize the microphone properly. Some phones have different microphones for when you are using the phone in a regular call or when you are using it on speaker, so make sure you’re speaking into the correct microphone.
The connection could impact the audio quality, so it is worth verifying that your Doorbell is receiving a strong and stable wifi connection. You can find more information on that here.
