So switched gen 1 to gen 2 on the ring door bell hardwire , Does my current protection plan not switch over ? It don't expire till dec 2023 , im getting a message that says my plan no longer protects the previous device and needs to cancel plan? So can't the plan carries over to the new gen 2 ring ? Or i have to cancel and re purchase a new plan ? Please help thanks

Hi @user62129. The Basic Ring Protection Plan is a per-device plan. It does not transfer over. You'll need a new plan for your new device. The old plan can be canceled at anytime and receive a pro-rated refund based on the amount of time used. You can manage your subscription on Ring.com. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
