Stick-up cam battery with solar panel says needs battery charged?
wireless-security-cameras
one of my stick up cam batteries is at 4% and needs charged...I have a solar panel with it...does this mean I need a new battery? I purchased the product in July of 2019. My other stick up cam with solar panel is fine and purchased them at the same time.

Following. I have spotlight cam with 2 batteries connected to solar panel. One of my batteries totally drained and the second is at 50%. Solar status says connected and ready to charge. Sun is out this no problem there, so why are the batteries draining?

Hi neighbors. There are a few important things to note in regards to battery life. First, take note of the amount of events per day. If you are experiencing more than 30 events per day, this could be causing an excess drain on your battery which could be more than the Solar Panel can charge. Try adjusting your [Motion Settings](https://community.ring.com/t/feature-update-customizable-motion-zones-for-battery-devices/13965) if this is the case. Next, you'll also want to make sure your camera has a good [RSSI](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229). A camera with a poor RSSI has to "work harder" the maintain a connection. This could also contribute to a decreased battery life. It's important to note that you need 4 hours of sunlight for the Solar Panel to be able to charge the battery. If these few things don't see to be the issue, I would reach out to our support team for the next best steps.
