I have a Gen 1 Stick Up Camera that has stopped recording video and also failing on live view at the “Activating Device” stage.
The motion detection alerts are working but I am just getting blank recordings.
Here are the troubleshooting things I have tried:
- Reset the device
- Used my phone as a hot spot and connected the Camera to it, in this test the RSSI was 18 and a speed test in same location on phone was showing 20 Mbps
- Tried another WiFi device on my home network, RSSI was 45 and speedtest around 100 Mbps
In all cases the symptoms were the same so it seems that the issue is not related to signal strength from the camera to wifi device or from the camera to the internet.
Any advice would be appreciated on next steps.
