Stick cam changing indoor to outdoor settings

Trying to change from indoor to outdoor mode in general settings and it stays stuck on indoor, do I need to delete cam and re-install ?

Hi @iowman. If you are not able to change your Install Type, try the following steps:

  • Verify that your Ring app is up-to-date.

  • Force-close the Ring app on your phone and reopen it.

You can do a new setup of the Camera without deleting it from your account to change your Installation Type. You just have to select Set Up a Device in your Dashboards menu. If you have tried these steps and are still having the same concern, please provide the following additional information: Ring app version, phone model, phone OS, and Ring device model.

All sorted thanks, deleted cam, then reinstalled device which gave me the set up option of indoor or outdoor
