Spotlight Mount won't power after going in the locked position

The spotlight mount I just got new and installed only seems to power up on 1/4 turn of when mount it to the power connector. Once it the full locked position, it loses power instead of keeping it. It seems the power pins don't reach the connecting plate. Ring said it was a a defect and so I issues a replacement from Amazon. I just wanted to post in case someone had a similar issue and was able to resolve it in case the replacement does the same thing.
