It has happened multiple times now that I’ve seen the cam turn on the light without any actual activity being registered.
On settings I have motion activated lights and no light schedules.
How can I report this to ring so I can have an audit report of something that explains the sudden light activation?
Hi @user65532. This happens because there are actually 2 motion detectors for your Spotlight Cam. One for your lights and one for your cam. The reason for this is, the light will activate before your cam, allowing for your video to have a video with good lighting. However, you can adjust the sensitivity in the Ring app to better suit your environment. This is located under the Device Settings tile > Light Settings. I hope this helps.
