I have put up a spotlight cam and connected to a solar charging panel. The battery is not charging despite saying it is connected to the solar panel. It is my second device that I run on solar panels and all settings and sun exposure are the same so I don’t understand what the problem is other than a fault with either the cam or the panel. Any ideas?

Hi neighbors, the Solar Panel will provide a trickle charge to the battery with sufficient sunlight. This charge isn’t as fast as manually charging the battery, but it can help extend the amount of time between charges. Please try the following troubleshooting steps for Solar Panels:
- Check that your Solar Panel’s cable is firmly connected to both the panel and the Camera.
- Use a clean microfiber cloth to clear any dirt or debris from the Solar Panel.
- Ensure the Solar Panel is receiving at least 4 hours of direct sunlight per day.
- Reboot the Camera using the reboot option on the Device Health page.
