Spotlight Cam - light stays on permanently

I have a Spotlight cam that used to work perfectly. Now, the light comes on at night all the time. I switch it off on the app but it comes on again. If I snooze, or turn off the motion sensor the light still comes on and it sometimes comes on and stays on during the day.

I don’t think it’s a setting because I’ve sat with the app in front of me and turn it off every time it comes on.

Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? Any suggestions of what can be done?

I am having the same problem right after doing the first time setup

Does anyone else have this problem?

I am now having same problem

Hi neighbors! When the lights for the Spotlight Cam trigger frequently, this is often a sign of a nearby heat source. The range of detection is larger for the lights to trigger than it is for the lens view. For this reason, sometimes objects out of view might set off your lights. Please ensure there are not vehicles, heat vents, or HVAC units nearby that might be triggering the lights.

If your lights are not turning off, try manually toggling them by visiting the Spotlight Cam in the Ring app and disabling the lights on/off toggle. Once you turn the lights off, they should only enable again if motion is detected. I recommend also checking your wifi signal strength as this can decide how quickly and efficiently a light triggering communication reaches your Camera.
