I have had my spotlight cam & solar panel for years, on the 2nd story of my home. In the last 3-4 months, I’m noticing that the battery is needing to be charged often - currently every week. I am needing Ring admins or the Protect Plan to incorporate fixing this issue. I’m curious to think if the Neighborhood Sidewalk plot play a role.
Ring considering I own (5) cameras, can you please replace my battery?
Hi @Yo_Se. You’re on the Ring Community, which is a public forum where neighbors can interact with one another and our Moderators can provide general troubleshooting tips and tricks. If you wish to contact support, you can do so at one of the numbers available here.
The Solar Panel will provide a trickle charge to your Spotlight Cam’s battery when it’s receiving sufficient sunlight. We recommend about 4 hours of direct sunlight per day. If the battery appears to be draining quickly, we have some troubleshooting information here that may help. Should this concern persist after checking your settings and ensuring adequate sunlight, I’d recommend following up with our support team to take a closer look.
