Spot Light Cam

Can the developers make it so that we can set the time limit on how long the spotlight camera lights stay on instead of it going off 10 seconds after after motion is detected. I like that the flood light cam gives that option. Please make spot light cam have that option also. PLEASE!!!!

Hi @Smithty. You should be able to manually control the lights on your Spotlight Cam to stay on for an extended period of time. This Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000311583-Controlling-the-Lights-on-the-Spotlight-Cam-Battery) has some information on controlling the lights on your Spotlight Cam. I hope this helps!

@Tom\_Ring,Yeah, that doesn't help me, thanks though. What I want is: If motion is detected, I want the light to stay on for a certain amount of time of my choosing, .i.e, 5, 10, 15 minutes, etc like the option i have with "flood-light cam". I don't want to have to walk with my phone outside to keep telling the spotlight-cam to stay on. Or having to turn it on first, then walk outside so it stays on. I would like for it to just stay on when motion is detected for like 5 or 10 minutes. Right now it seems to just stay on for about 15 seconds after motion is detected.

Hey @Smithty. Thanks for clarifying. It sounds like you have the Spotlight Cam Battery. This is not an option on this device due to battery conservation. With the Wired or Mounted version of the Spotlight Cam, you would be able to control the lights similar to your Floodlight Cam. Hopefully, this feature can be an addition to the Ring app in a future update.

Hey Tom\_Ring,I wish I had known that before I had bought it. I probably wouldn't have. I do have a solor panel attached to my battery operated spot-light cam, so I probably wouldn't have to worry about that too much :-)I wish there was some way I could swap cameras to get that feature on mine. Thanks for letting me know.
