Still having problems with my Spot Light Camera. I have many Ring products in my home but this one camera is driving me crazy. I have two other post on the forum about this camera. Now the camera will not activate. When i pull it up on any of my devices it just spins and spins and never comes up. So I get the latter out climb up pull the battery out for about five minutes put it back in then the camera works for a few minutes and then back to the same situation. In health battery is 100 % and wifi strength is good. I also purchased another but that did not help. I have reinstalled the app. Nothing seems to help. This is the same camera that is giving me problems with the spot light coming on all during the night and staying on for about 2-3 seconds. Hope someone has some ideas. Thanks. The camera is only about 4 months old.
Hi @jlept. If the Live View is not activating, I’d recommend starting with our Community Post on common causes and solutions to Live View concerns. What is the RSSI on your Camera’s Device Health page? If the RSSI is high, this could be causing the Live View to not load. You can learn more about RSSI and some possible solutions to improve the signal here. If the solutions in these posts are not helpful in resolving your Live View concerns, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. They can take a closer look at this and offer more advanced troubleshooting help. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. Hey Caitlyn, thanks for your timely response. I have tried the trouble shooting suggestion that are listed on the forum to no avail. The RSSI can vary from a high of 50 to a low 38. The problen occures when the RSSI is at any of these levels.
