Sportlight Cam (Battery) unresponsive

So it looks like my Sportlight Cam (battery) had died. It was connected to a Ring Solar panel, so I have removed both batteries and charged them using Ring Charging Station. Popping one of the batteries back into the Cam, and its completely unresponsive.

The 20 second press/hold on the top button isn’t resetting the camera…anyone have any ideas?

As a side note I see on the right hand side of the camera, next to the LED light the black metal strip seems to have turned gold! Anyone seen this?
