Ring Video Doorbell
Solved: Ring doorbell pro - working but showing offline on app
Hi, My Ring doorbell pro suddenly shows it's offline on the Ring app (it's been working flawlessly for the past 6 months). However, it will still notify me when motion is detected and when the doorbell is rung. Video still records and can be played back. However, because the app is showing it's offline, I can't see a live view from the doorbell. I tried reconnecting the and setting up the device again, but the device still shows it's offline (but still working). Any idea what is going on?

If your Ring device is showing as offline, try initiating a live view in the Ring app. Please ensure there is not a VPN on your mobile device. I am having the same issue. 2 out of 4 ring cams showing offline but still recording video and triggering alerts. Before I start taking apart my RingPro’s to access the setup button, can someone verify that this actually fixes the issue?!

SNo it doesn't work. After a few days it resorted back to the same problem. I'm ready to get rid of it, there's always a problem with it and it's only 6 feet away from my router. I can go 200 feet into my backyard and have a rock solid connection on my phone. Ring products appear to be low quality compared to other brands. Everyone seems to be having the same issue, this should be a class action lawsuit.

I am facing the similar issue with ring doorbell pro2. After working with Ring Tech support and spending couple of hours, I was given a 35% off coupon and was advised to get a new ring door bell. I am scared to go for new ring door bell, after reading this article, looks like ring doesn’t have a solution for this issue. Not sure how can ring ensure this issue doesn’t occur again on new device?

I had the same issue but it appears to be fixed as of a couple days ago for me. I had to go through the wifi reconnect suggested in this post, but it has been working with no issues since then. Hope this helps! https://community.ring.com/t/multiple-devices-not-connecting-no-live-view/79371
