I installed a new ring video doorbell today with the solar charger. Should the solar status show as connected even when it is dark? Mine says not connected, I’m putting it down to the dark but worried I might not have installed is correctly?
Hi there, @Jimbob88! The Solar Charger status should show up as long as your Solar Charger is receiving several hours of direct sunlight. As mentioned in our help center article, as soon as you plug it into the Ring Video Doorbell it starts working but only provides power when getting direct sunlight.
