Solar Panel plug does not fit in Spotlight Cam

We purchased the Solar Panel for the Spotlight Cam Battery however the plug does not fit into the Spotlight Cam. It appears to be too big. I purchased this item over the phone and was told by the Ring representative this was the solar panel to buy.

Does anyone have a solution to this issue? Thank you in advance :slight_smile:

Hey @dfw956. The plug for the Solar Panel should be compatible with the Spotlight Cam Battery. Can you please share a few pictures of the plug and the socket on the Camera so we can have a look at what you’re seeing? This will help us address your concern better. :slight_smile:

Thank you for your response. I am attaching a couple of pictures of the “connection” with the camera and the solar panel plug. As you can see the plug will not push into the back of the camera. We are also being told to add a second battery although there are already 2 batteries in the camera that we have charged. At this point we are totally frustrated and feel that the spot light camera is defective. Please advise. Thank you very much!

I had the same problem with a spotlight cam and solar panel that were bundled together! No way that plug was going to fit. And after weeks of problems with the camera not detecting motion properly inside the zones I setup, I boxed it all up and sent it back. Will replace with another product. Done with Ring products.

I have the exact same problem. Everything was great right up until now VERY frustrating.
