Solar Panel not Appearing on Stick Up Cam Options

My Stick Up battery is 100% charged.
My Solar Panel is also 100% charged
But, when I plug my Solar Panel into my Stick Up Cam, the Solar Panel does not appear and is not not an option. Does anyone else have this problem? More importantly, does anyone know how to fix it?

Hi @user47441. There is no option for you to select to switch it to solar-powered; when you plug in a Solar Panel and it charges after a few hours of direct sun, it will automatically detect it. If your Stick Up Cam is not detecting the Solar Panel you plugged into it, try the following steps:

  • Verify that you are using a Ring-branded Solar Panel and not a third-party one.

  • Wipe your Solar Panel with a soft cloth, clearing any dust and debris.

  • Reboot your Stick Up Cam using the Ring app.

  • Unplug the Solar Panel from the Camera and plug it back in. Double check that it’s plugged in all the way.
