Smoke Alarm Monitoring

Hey everyone, we are about to replace our smoke/co detectors with the First Alert device that connects to ring. I'm wanting to know how professional monitoring works if the smoke detector goes off - do they call first like they do for everything else? I'd hate to burn toast to find a bunch of fire people at my front door!ThanksDaniel
