Setting up Protect Plan as shared owner of doorbell

Hi. I’m getting nowhere trying to set up a basic Protect Plan. As husband & I are shared owners of doorbell so we can both view door we keep getting to point where the system just says has to be done by owner on both phones not giving ability to subscribe, Please help spent an hour trying to sort out what should be a simple request.

Hi @user51555. Whichever Ring account the Doorbell was set up under is going to be the owner of the device, so the Ring Protect plan needs to be set up under that account. A Shared User cannot set up a Ring Protect plan. It sounds like you are both signed into the same, Shared User account on the Ring app.

Make sure to log into the owner account on Ring.com, and follow the instructions listed here to subscribe to a Ring Protect plan.
