Setting up a second protect basic plan
troubleshooting
ring-protect-plans

Hi there I bought a floodlight a few months after my doorbell, the doorbell is set up on a ring basic protect plan, can I add a second basic plan for the floodlight or do I need to get the plus? I can’t see how to get the basic on the website for my second device? My trial for the second device is almost up; but I’d already subscribed to the first plan for the doorbell Any help please?

Did you manage to do this. I can not find a way to add a second device on a basic plan.

Hi @user5645. You can't have multiple devices under one Ring Protect Basic plan, the Basic plan covers only one Ring Doorbell or Camera. To subscribe to a new Ring Protect Basic plan for your second device, you can follow the steps below. 1. From a web browser, [log into your Ring account](http://ring.com/). 2. Select **Unsubscribed Devices** . You’ll see a list of devices that aren’t covered by a plan. 3. Select **Subscribe** . 4. Choose a Ring Protect Plan and the devices you want coverage for. 1. If you selected multiple devices and choose Basic, then the price of Basic will be charged for each device.Ring Protect Plus and Pro cover all devices at a single location for one price. 5. Select a monthly or annual payment option. 6. Enter your payment information and checkout. 7. Review your order and select **Purchase** . You will receive a confirmation email for your subscription purchase. I hope this information helps. :)

Thank you Caitlyn_Ring I was finally able to set up a second basic account for the second device with your instructions. It was way too confusing before. Would appreciate if Ring would offer a plan for 2 devices.

Hi @CooJo. I'm glad you were able to get a second Ring Protect Basic plan added. We have the Ring Protect Plus plan, which covers all your Video Doorbells and Security Cameras at one location. Depending on how many devices you have, you could opt for multiple Basic plans or swap to the Plus plan to be more cost effective. You can read more about each plan and what it offers, as well as the pricing, in [this](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001671383-General-Information-on-Ring-Protect-Subscription-Plans) Help Center article. :)

If I login to my ring account given the link you provided, "Unsubscribed Devices" is no where on that page. If I click "My Dashboard" to access the primary ring web interface, there is no "Unsubscribed Devices" anywhere on that page either. Can you either provide the correct link or the correct method I can use to purchase a second additional basic plan for my second camera?
