Wifi Setup for a Ring Spotlight Cam.
Floodlight Cam Setup Mode.
Ring App on my handset and select ‘Add a Ring Product’.
Selected Security Cams and scanned the QR code on the Ring device.
Pressed the button on top of the Spotlight Cam.
Is the light on the bottom of your Spotlight Cam flashing?.
Go to Wi-Fi settings on your mobile device.
Then, join the Ring network.
You may be notified that this network has no internet access. This is normal.
GO TO WI-FI SETTINGS
Next is the list of available WiFi networks, one of which is ‘Ring Setup nn’ (for which it says that this wifi network has no Internet access but do you want to connect anyway?).
Click on this Ring network and then CONNECT
(note that the bottom light of the Security Cam is still flashing).
The ‘Ring Setup’ network is now shown as ‘Connected (no internet access)’ in the list of available Wifi networks (note that the bottom light of the Security Cam is still flashing).
The light keeps flashing on the Security Cam for a few more minutes and then stops flashing.
And then nothing further happens.
The list of available Wifi networks on my mobile phone now shows my normal Home wifi Router as being connected, and the ‘Ring Setup’ network is no longer displayed in the list of networks.
After quite a long time of nothing happening – I select the ‘<-‘ back arrow and go back to the ‘Wifi Setup’ page, where “Is the light on the bottom of your Spotlight Cam flashing?” is displayed.
This process just keeps cycling around.
