I’m unable to connect to the Ring network during setup. I saw a tip that the cause may be having a special character in my home network password, but not why that may be an issue or how to complete the setup. Help please!

Hi @user31072. To confirm, you're on the part of the setup process where you are asked to connect to the Ring setup network on your phone? If so, try the following troubleshooting steps:- On an Apple/iOS device, reboot by shutting down the device and powering it back on.- On Android, adjust the [Smart Network Switch.](https://support.google.com/android/answer/9654714?hl=en)- Make sure your battery is fully charged if you've attempted setup multiple times during a first time set up. Batteries are not shipped with 100% charge due to legal regulations and may have drained during your previous attempts.- Try setting up your Ring device using a different mobile device (i.e. another mobile phone or tablet). The password used for your home wifi network wouldn't impact this part of the setup process. If the steps above don't help, try resetting your Doorbell by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds. Then attempt the setup process once more.
