Ring Video Doorbell Wired: No Audio

troubleshooting
Hi everyone! A few weeks back, my Ring Video Doorbell Wired turned itself off for no apparent reason. No internet disconnections, no power issues, it was just completely off after working fine for about a month. I was able to get it to turn back on by turning the breaker off and back on. However, since then audio is not being recorded in videos nor can the person on the other side hear us if we attempt to speak through it. I have tried resetting the device to factory settings twice, and no luck. No settings were changed between it working and then not working, either. Is there something else to try? Thanks in advance!

Hi there, @KyleW2! It sounds like you've covered some great steps here. Although there had not been a change in network, it's always good to check your wifi signal strength. Our [Community post about RSSI](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229) can help with tips to optimize signal. Good call on considering power variables, and as long as your Doorbell Wired is installed per the instructions and powering up, this should not be an issue. Audio concerns are often related to connection variables. I recommend trying a live view using another mobile device, if possible, to see if audio will work. Please ensure there is not a VPN enabled. If the above steps do not resolve your concerns, this will likely require a closer look from our support team. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406).
