Ring Video Doorbell Pro - Constant Ringing and Reboot at night
I just installed a Ring Video Doorbell Pro but it's constantly ringing my internal mechanical chime (about 5 times) and then the Ring Video Doorbell Pro will reboot. Once as the Ring Video Doorbell Pro reboots, all good, but then as soon as the infrared turns on, click, my doorbell goes off 5 times, then the Ring Video Doorbell Pro will reboot again. (therefore, during the day, my chime will ring 5 times, and then the Doorbell Pro will reboot, but because the infrared doesn't come on, it's not constant ringing. Didn't really know that I had a problem until it got dark) I'm using the recommended 16 volt AC Transformer(30VA). When I use the Pro Power Kit that comes with the Ring Video Doorbell Pro, my chime will just constantly ring, even if the Ring Video Doorbell Pro is connected or not. I really would like to use both the Ring and my existing chime (My chime is made from the 70's, old-time Wall clock\ Chimes) It would be a shame if I can't get all this to work together.

I had a similar problem with my backdoor chime ringing constantly. Ring customer service recommended that I install whats called a "diode". They offered to send me one, but I thought we could find one locally, "no such luck". What worked for us was the installation of a second doorbell pro with camera on the back. Problem solved. The second camera took the place of a wired stickup camera we had considered. Good views from both front and back cameras. Try contacting Ring Customer service and ask them about the "diode". That might work for you. I took several calls to customer service (who I will add were very helpful) over a 2-3 week period. We are satisfied with the two cameras supported by the one transformer.

MNo. I never did figure it out. I just had to disable the "Ring my Bell" function. So when someone rings my doorbell, it just comes up on our phones.

THey neighbors. Your Pro Power Kit should be connected to the Front and Trans terminals on your Chime kit. If you are unsure about this, you can take a picture of your Chime kit and one of our support team members can assist you in making sure this is wired properly. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. MMy doorbell looks a little different than the pictures. I had to use the additional wire that was provided with my power kit pro 2 (the wires that were labeled as "probably not needed"). I tried to plug the power kit into the 2 additional slots on the front doorbell and when I turned the power back on, the doorbell just constantly kept ringing. I also tried to plug it into the back doorbell spot and it did the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi neighbors! The nicor branded chime kit and the intercom previously pictured in this thread are not compatible with the Doorbell Pro. Feel free to check out our [Chime Compatibility List](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/209028546-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro-Chime-Kit-Compatibility-List) to confirm if your chime kit is compatible. If it is not, the best option is to bypass the chime kit per the instructions in our [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005974466-How-to-Bypass-your-Internal-Doorbell-with-the-Pro-Power-Kit-V2-for-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Pro-). I hope this helps! :)

I'm attaching the internal chime wiring diagram. Also, I put the Pro Power Kit on the Power Supply side. I was putting in between the actual doorbell wires (Thinking that was completing the circuit, which makes sense). Any help would be great!!
