I have doorbell original, have used for years on battery, now in new house trying to use on trickle charge. Have all wiring in place and 16VAC to the adapter. However no power to doorbell.
There is power at the 2 screws with which you connect the cable to the back plate, but no power at the connectors on the back plate. Is the back plate faulty? Can it be repaired? TIA.
