Hi all. I am having work done on my front door and the contractor removed the ring doorbell as he kept hitting the button. He did not remove the wires just unscrewed the camera and let it hang from the wires.
The camera was replaced and everything worked fine. That night however the doorbell rang when no one was at the door and then the chime seemed to be stuck in the middle of a chime/ring.
After about 5 minutes the chime stopped on its own and the camera no longer has power.
I checked the wires to the camera and everything seems to be fine, nothing is loose.
Anything thoughts on next steps so I might avoid having to call an electrician?
