My Ring was working ok, then it quit detecting motion. I have hard-reset it and that did not help. Doorbell ring alerts work. Live view works. But no motion detection. I go into settings and change the motion sensitivity, etc., but it says “changes will take effect the next time motion is detected.” Well, maybe that’s design flaw if it’s not detecting motion if there’s a bug in the settings. But I don’t think that can be the problem if the issue persists after the hard reset.
If no motion at all, i’d get it replaced under warranty. Let us know how ring customer service responds as I’ve had no problems with motion detection.
