Ring Video Doorbell 3 button issue

Hi Folks,

I have a ring video doorbell 3 for the last 20 months.

This week i have noticed when i ri g the doorbell, nothing happens. There is no activity on the doorbell (lights or sound). I dont get a notification on my phone either.

Motion alerts are still working, live view is working also.

I have reset the doorbell and reconfigured. Battery is fully charged and ring doorbell firmware is up to date.

The doorbell button doesnt appear to be stuck and i can feel the button pressing when i press it.

Anyone got any ideas as to how to fix this, or is the doorbell toast. I wouldnt mind except i rarely get people calling so its not from overuse.

Hi @user19571. In the Ring app, does your Ring Video Doorbell 3 show as hardwired? If not, try checking the wiring to ensure everything is tight and secure. Also, make sure you have the correct chime kit selected in the Ring app. This can be found by tapping Device Settings > General Settings. Let me know if this helps.

Hi Tom,

The device is showing as being powered by battery which it is. I dont have it hardwired.

The correct chime type is selected also.

Im at a loss as to what the issue is here.

The product is less than a year and a half old, so wouldnt expect to see issues this soon.
