Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) w/ Plug-In Adapter not charging

I have the Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) and Ring plug-in adapter. When I first installed the doorbell, the Device Health page on the app listed the Power Source as “hardwired”. Two days ago, this changed to “battery”. Why is this happening? Can it be changed back?

Hi @andyc2024. The Plug-In Adapter provides continuous power. Make sure it is properly connected, and that the wire is not damaged. Then perform a quick reboot on your Doorbell by using the reboot option on the Device Health page. The reboot will only take a few moments.
