About two months ago, Ring Video doorbell (first generation) stopped ringing the inside wired door bell (simple, cheap, ding-dong type, nothing fancy).
Troubleshooted with customer support (several of them) to arrive to the same conclusion that Ring is actually controlling your in house door bell.
The Ring is connected to the two wires that come from the transformer, 24V AC. When I touch (short) the wires the inside door bell works.
Ring Video Bell charges fine, video works fine, only it doesn’t ring inside bell anymore.
Anyone of you experiencing the same issues? The only thing I got from customer support was “your device is out of warranty (duh!) and we can offer you a 20% on a new one” No thanks, I want the one I have to work.
