Ring Video Doorbell 1st generation won't enter setup mode

I've had my Ring doorbell in use for one year and recently I noticed it was no longer connected to wifi. I have recharged it several times during the year and even done setup mode a few times in the past and it always worked as the app instructed. "press orange button, swirling light begins around doorbell button and you are in setup mode."However, now when I press orange button the doorbell light just blinks slowly about five or six times then stops. If anyone else has had this problem and has guidance I would appreciate. I took a little video of the behaviour I can post if it will help.
