Ring stuck offline

Hi,

We have had our ring doorbell for a couple of years now. Recently it died and we took it off to charge it, but wound up leaving it off for a few months.

We are now trying to use it again but it says it’s offline due to low battery. However we’ve fully charged it, it’s been plugged in all night and most of the morning.

It’s lighting up and when you press it, the bell sounds. It just won’t connect to the WiFi anymore and the app still says it’s battery is low/dead.

I tried to force reset it by holding down the orange button for 20 seconds then letting it reset itself for 5 minutes. It did what it should, the light flashed for a while. But still offline according to the app.

What else can I do? Really appreciate any help on this. Thanks.

Hi there, @FrancesBarb! It looks like you’ve covered all the best steps here. If you have not already, try charging this device for several hours, if it is battery powered. Next, try the reset again by holding the setup button for 20 seconds. If your Ring device will not complete a setup process in the Ring app, this may require a closer look from our support team.
