Ring Stick Up Cam Battery 3rd Gen - to be hardwired
Hi I have a couple of Ring Stick Up Cam Battery 3rd Gen which I want to hardwire. Which performance improvements will i get (beside no need to take the battery out for charge) ? I understand that the motion detection will be better but in what way?

So what i can see the "only" different between battery or wire mode is that I will grain the motion warning (beside no need to charge battery) since the Motion Detection will be 100% the same for the two modes

Hi @Cterp70. We have this [comparison chart](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004687606-Ring-Security-Camera-Product-Comparison) in our Help Center that will let you know the differences between a Stick-Up Cam Battery and a Plug-In. They both have the same motion detection, which is Advanced Motion Detection with Customizable Motion Zones. You will also gain access to enable [Motion Warning](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048674751-Motion-Warning-Information) when in [Wired Mode](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045463592-Changing-power-modes-on-your-Ring-Stick-Up-Cam-3rd-generation-). I hope this helps.
