I have bought a Ring Spotlight Cam Wired.
The cable is too long.
Can I cut the cable shorter and mount a new plug, or are there any electronic parts in the original plug, so I will spoil the camera doing that?

Glad you asked, @BentBuhl! We do not advise altering the design or physical features of your Ring devices. Doing this can void any warranty as well as cause the device to not work as intended, or safely. While there is not a way to shorten the plug, we’ve seen neighbors use wire clips to hold the wire in place or tuck away any unused slack. I hope this helps!
